September 23, 2011 - More than six hundred echo sonologists and echo sonographers had a chance to take a glimpse at the MyLab™ Class C, one of the best in class 2D-Echo system offered by ESAOTE, that was put on display during the Philippine Society of Echocardiography (PSE) 17th Annual Convention held at DAPA Hall, Medical Arts Building, Philippine Heart Center, Quezon City last September 19-20, 2011.

MEDEV has put on display the MyLab™ Class C, top- of-the-line ultrasound system with super premium image quality and most advanced onboard software, with built-in high quality multifunction touch screen. The delegates were able to experience for themselves and appreciate the superb features the system has to offer. Along with this high level machine, the MyLab™ Five, the portable color 2D-Echo machine from ESAOTE with full capabilities of a premium 2D-Echo system was also displayed in the MEDEV booth.
Meanwhile, the ELI230 and H3+, both from MORTARA, generated a buzz among the crowd because of their unique features. The ELI 230 is a compact wireless full-page ECG, while the H3+ ECG Holter recorder is probably the smallest of its kind—as small as a typical USB MP3 player.
The PSE 17th Annual Convention is a two day gathering of echo sonologists and echo sonographers in the country, organized by the Philippine Society of Echocardiography (PSE) in collaboration with the Philippine Heart Association (PHA).

MEDEV Presents Esaote MyLab at UST Annual Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Workshop
August 2, 2011 – MEDEV Medical Devices Corporation, distributor of high quality ultrasound equipment served as an event partner of the recently concluded 5th Annual Postgraduate Course on Musculoskeletal Ultrasonography with the theme “Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Workshop: Intermediate Course… A Continuum.” held last July 20-26, 2011 at the Bulwagan Rogge, UST Graduate School, University of Santo Tomas, Manila.
MEDEV provided some of its high quality ultrasound systems, the ESAOTE MyLab 40 and MyLab Five for exhibit and live demonstration in musculoskeletal applications. Attendees were mostly rheumatologists and orthopaedic surgeons, as well as some radiologists. Also, featured in the event is a general presentation of the systems and live demonstrations on 2D-Echocardiography and Peripheral Vascular Imaging using the MyLab Five portable color ultrasound, shown to the department heads of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery.
The MyLab Five is a portable color ultrasound machine from ESAOTE that features full capabilities and upgradeability to include General and Musculoskeletal imaging, 3D/4D imaging in OB/GYNE, advanced 2D-Echocardiography and Peripheral Vascular Imaging.
Dr. Antonio Bouffard, much sought after lecturer in musculoskeletal and bone radiology from Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, USA and Dr. Azriel Benaroya, an expert in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound from Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, USA were invited as guest lecturers and experts in Musculoskeletal Ultrasonography. The event was spearheaded by the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of University of Santo Tomas.
